As you may have thought, the subject "Bible Lessons" is extensive and cannot be exhausted! For a start, everything that Jesus taught can readily become a lesson. The same is true for the various subjects that the Apostle Luke wrote about in the Book of Acts, that the Apostles Paul, Peter, John, James, and Jude wrote about in the Epistles in the New Testament, and that the Apostle John wrote about in the Book of Revelation.
Then we have the Old Testament which is our schoolmaster to Christ:
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. (Galatians 3:24-25)
Even though we may be born again, that is, "faith is come" and we are not under "the Law", there are literally thousands and thousands of lessons to learn from the Old Testament. Any time people please God, there is a takeaway. Any time people do not obey God, there is a lesson to learn.
The first series of Bible Lessons is about salvation.
Salvation results when a lost soul who believes, obeys the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul wrote:
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek (Romans 1:16 NKJV).
Salvation in the Greek is the word sōtēria (sō-tā-rē'-ä) G4991 and it means:
1. Deliverance, preservation, safety, salvation
2. Salvation as the present possession of all true Christians
3. Future salvation, the sum of benefits and blessings which the Christians, redeemed from all earthly ills, will enjoy after the visible return of Christ from heaven in the consummated and eternal kingdom of God.
This series of lessons is about the soul's safety or salvation. The following are Bible lessons about salvation:
